Decisive figure orchestrates AZ's ruthless display against Heracles | OneFootball

Troy Parrott set the tone in the fifth minute with a close-range finish, as AZ beat Heracles 4-0.

Early on, Parrott stole a yard in the six-yard box to turn in Mees de Wit's delivery, giving AZ control they never surrendered.

In the first minute of first half stoppage time, he slid a composed through ball for Sven Mijnans to double the advantage. After the restart, he then fed de Wit to finish from the centre of the box (74.). The goal was awarded after a VAR review. He departed soon after to a warm reception (76.).

Parrott's end product was matched by his all-round contribution: four attempts, two on target, three key passes and six touches in the box. He also chipped in defensively with two clearances, while linking play with seven successful final third passes.

With this performance, AZ rise from seventh to sixth in the Eredivisie. They visit Sparta Prague in the UEFA Conference League next, before travelling to Groningen in the league. Heracles remain 18th in the table.
