Jack Clarke converted a penalty in the second minute of second half stoppage time to earn Ipswich Town a 1-1 draw against Preston North End. The winger also won the spot kick.

In the 19th minute, Clarke cut inside from the left and shot over after a pass from Azor Matusiwa, signalling his threat early on for the Tractor Boys.

He then linked the attack well after the restart, feeding Anis Mehmeti to shoot wide (77.), before his cross set up Chuba Akpom's header that David Cornell saved (79.). Clarke drew the decisive foul for the penalty (90.) and kept his nerve to convert in stoppage time.

He finished with two attempts, one on target, two chances created, three tackles and seven possessions won, underlining a display built on direct running and work-rate. That contribution keeps Preston honest late on and reflects why he sits second in Championship scoring on 12.

The Tractor Boys visit Portsmouth next. Preston host Portsmouth next.
