Jack Clarke converted a penalty in the 87th minute to secure Ipswich Town a 2-2 draw with Middlesbrough. The substitute's calm finish capped an influential cameo.
On from the bench, Clarke sent his right-footed kick low into the bottom left after George Hirst was fouled by Adilson Malanda (87.). The strike against Boro steadied the Tractor Boys at a crucial moment.
He finished with two attempts, one on target, plus one key pass and four recoveries, injecting control and incision for the Tractor Boys when it mattered most.
His direct play from the flank forced Boro to retreat, opening lanes for runners and ensuring Town's late pressure carried a threat, before his precise effort from the spot delivered the payoff.
The Tractor Boys remain second in the Championship and visit Charlton Athletic next. Boro stay fifth and host Sheffield Wednesday next.
