Benjamin Nygren bent in a free-kick in the seventh minute to set Celtic on their way in a 2-2 draw at Hearts. The Sweden forward is now on 11 league goals, second in the Scottish Premiership scoring chart.
His left-footed strike arced into the top right corner from a set piece, a clean, early execution that gave the Bhoys control and forced the Jam Tarts to chase.
After the restart he turned provider, supplying the delivery for Tomás Čvančara's header that crashed off the bar (60.), underlining his threat for the Hoops from wide and dead ball situations.
Nygren's all-round influence showed in the numbers: he was fouled five times, won nine possessions and created one chance, continually carrying Celtic up the pitch against the Jambos.
Because he kept receiving on the half turn and driving directly at defenders, Hearts were repeatedly drawn into contact, allowing the visitors to play in advanced areas and tilt key phases in Celtic's favour.
Celtic host Falkirk next. The Jambos visit Dundee United.
