Inter Milan are back in familiar territory under Cristian Chivu, struggling with the same issues that plagued them under Simone Inzaghi.

According to Tuttosport via FCInterNews, last season’s Serie A runners-up continue to falter in crucial moments.

Last weekend’s 4-3 defeat to bitter rivals Juventus was the latest example.

Indeed, Chivu’s charges have proved terminally unable to take three points from winning positions.

That same problem was Inter’s worst enemy toward the end of Inzaghi’s tenure.

Dropping points from winning positions became a recurring theme for Inter last season.

However, when Cristian Chivu took charge in the summer, he vowed to help the Nerazzurri overcome their issues.

Instead, Inter’s early season tells a different story. Very little has changed compared to the team’s struggles under Simone Inzaghi.

For context, Inter took an early lead against Udinese on matchday two, only to lose 2-1.

Then, they fought back from a deficit to go 3-2 up against Juventus on Saturday.

Yet, conceding twice beyond the 80th minute saw the Nerazzurri leave Turin empty-handed.
