Departing Barcelona star contacted by Fenerbahçe | OneFootball

Departing Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski has this week been contacted by those in a position of power at Turkish heavyweights Fenerbahçe.

This comes as Fener join the growing list of clubs eyeing a free agent deal for the veteran goalscorer this summer.

Lewandowski of course recently made official that his time with Barcelona is primed to come to a close upon the expiration of his contract terms over the coming weeks.

Still held in high regard across the continent and beyond, the Pole has in turn been earmarked as a potential addition by a whole host of clubs.

To date, the likes of the Chicago Fire, AC Milan and Juventus have been tipped as possible summer landing spots for Lewandowski.

And as alluded to above, this week, a new suitor have positioned themselves firmly in the ‘Lewa’ sweepstakes.

As per a report from market expert Fabrizio Romano:

‘Fenerbahçe are interested in signing Robert Lewandowski as a free agent. Initial contacts made with his camp while Lewandowski keeps assessing all options.’
