Deportivo Madryn will travel to Buenos Aires on Sunday for the fourth week of pre-season, when their first friendlies before the Primera Nacional begin.
According to SuperDepor.com, the delegation will leave by coach from the Poldo Remussi complex and is due to arrive in Capital Federal early on Monday. They will play three warm-up games, facing Acassuso on Tuesday, then Argentino de Quilmes, before finishing against the Argentinos Juniors reserves.
After three weeks of heavy physical work, Cristian Díaz and his staff will start sharpening the first-choice side. The friendlies will be used to test systems, on-field links and the current form of each player.
Madryn have kept much of last season’s core, with 16 players retained from the team that contested two promotion finals, and have added another 16 signings. With a large squad and leaders across the pitch, the coach now moves into a more specific phase to shape an identity.
After the Buenos Aires tour, the squad will return home for the final stage of preparation. Before the tournament begins, Madryn will play one last friendly against Olimpo de Bahía Blanca at the Abel Sastre stadium on Saturday the seventh of February, the new team’s first contact with the aurinegro public.
The official debut follows away to Colón de Santa Fe on Saturday 14 February at 20:00 at the Brigadier General Estanislao López stadium, known as “Cementerio de los elefantes”.
