Sondre Langas made his first start for Derby County since May in their 1-0 win over QPR on Saturday.
Derby County supporters have expressed their relief at the return of Sondre Langas to the starting XI following their 1-0 win over QPR on Saturday.
The defender made his first start of the season at the weekend, having returned with a substitute appearance midweek in the Rams’ 1-0 win against Norwich City.
The 24-year-old spent the back half of the previous campaign playing through the pain barrier to help the club remain in the Championship.
The injury required knee surgery in the summer, which had kept him out of action since the final day draw with Stoke City last May up until he made a substitute appearance in Derby's recent 1-0 win over Norwich City.
Langas proved an important part of the team under John Eustace following his arrival from Viking FC in the January transfer window earlier this year.

It was Carlton Morris’ goal that gave Derby the 1-0 lead against the Hoops in the 10th minute on Saturday, of which Langas grabbed the assist for.
That was a strike that sealed a second win in a row for the club, and moved them five points clear of the relegation zone as a result.
But it was Langas’ 90-minute performance that got supporters talking after the game, with Eustace’s side moving up to 17th in the table off the back of taking three points from the R's.
The centre-back has been praised across the fanbase following the second consecutive clean sheet for the team.
Given the level of performance he showed last year while playing through an injury, fans are excited at the prospect of what a fully fit Langas can do now that he’s back in the team.
"Class today. Looked so much more solid at the back with him. Can't fault (Matt) Clarke and (Dion) Sanderson either. Back three must be how we continue now. Glad he's back. A two-legged Langas is going to be some player this season," wrote a delighted Derby fan.
Derby have also been praised for the business of getting Langas to the club, particularly as he was a replacement for Eiran Cashin, who was sold to Brighton last January and was a key figure in the team prior to his move to the Amex.
"Best £4m we've spent for years seeling (Eiran) Cashin and getting this guyt for a third of the price has to be the best piece of transfer history in years. Same age, twice the player. Loves winding up the away fans as well," said another Rams supporter.
Eustace has been told to build the team around the Norwegian, who was signed last winter in a deal worth a reported £4 million.
"What a player. Best £4m we've spent. Build this team around him!!," demanded one Derby fan.
"Absolute class act, he’s just so so good on the ball," penned another.
"Will be gutting when he leaves. He's destined for the Prem, he's top class," predicted one Derby fan.
Next up for Derby is a trip to face Sheffield United on 1 November in a 3pm kick-off.

Langas showed his quality with his performance against QPR on Saturday, so it’s no surprise fans are excited by his return.
Eustace was under some pressure to turn results around this time last week, but back-to-back victories is a huge step in the right direction.
The Rams have some momentum, and that coinciding with Langas’ return will give fans plenty of reason to be optimistic.
A third win in a row next weekend, with the centre-back starring again, would be a great sign of progress for the Rams.
