Destiny Udogie has been ruled out of Tottenham's match at home to Aston Villa with a knee injury.

The Italian started against Leeds a fortnight ago but he drops out of the lineup at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, in the only change to the side that won at Elland Road.

Udogie did not play any minutes for Italy during the international break, staying on the bench for both matches, but he still returned to Spurs with a knee issue.

It is not believed to be a significant issue, but it is enough to mean he misses out on the squad completely against Aston Villa.

"Came back from international duties and minor irritation on the knee," Thomas Frank said before the match.

"Nothing major."

Djed Spence, therefore, comes into the side at left back, having played the full 90 minutes for England against both Wales and Latvia.

Randal Kolo Muani is back in the Spurs squad and will hope to make his first Premier League appearance for the club.

The Frenchman, a loan signing on Deadline Day, made his debut against Villarreal last month but has been out since then with a dead leg he picked up in training.

Kolo Muani trained over the international break at Hotspur Way and he played 45 minutes in a behind-closed-doors friendly against Watford.
