Diego Moreira taunts Lyon after Strasbourg’s 3-1 win, celebrates man-of-the-match award

Diego Moreira mocked former club Lyon on social media after scoring in Strasbourg’s 3-1 victory at La Meinau on Sunday night.

The 21-year-old collected the man-of-the-match trophy for his goal and used Snapchat to underline the point. The player said in a post that it was divine justice and added that God is great.

The Belgian spent the 2023-2024 season with Lyon, making nine appearances, seven of them in Ligue 1, without scoring.

In a separate Snapchat clip shared by team-mate Emmanuel Emegha, Moreira posed with the trophy, played down its significance and referenced being labelled “Agent 0-0-7” at Lyon in a nod to his goals, assists and appearances, before noting that he had scored this time.

Emegha then asked who was talking now, to which Moreira replied that no one was talking now.
