Aston Villa will face off against LOSC Lille at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy this Thursday evening as they look to earn a good result on the road in the first leg of their UEFA Europa League last 16 clash. The Villans suffered a dismal 4-1 loss at the hands of Chelsea recently, so they would be eager to get back to winning ways in midweek.
Unai Emery will stick with his favoured 4-2-3-1 formation and is expected to make a few changes to his first XI for this game. Lucas Digne, Pau Torres and Lamare Bogarde could all play from the start of this clash.
Emiliano Martinez will feature in between the sticks for the Villans after he conceded four goals in his last appearance. Pau Torres will function alongside Ezri Konsa at the heart of the Aston Villa backline as they look to keep things solid at the back during the game.
Lamare Bogarde will fill in as the right-back, while Lucas Digne looks to give a good account of himself on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will have to pick and choose their moments to join in on the attack.
Tyrone Mings will offer cover for the centre-back positions on the bench.

Douglas Luiz and Amadou Onana will anchor the midfield for the West Midlands club as they focus on making life difficult for the opposition at the centre of the park.
The talented trio of Jadon Sancho, Morgan Rogers and Leon Bailey will operate just ahead of them as part of Emery’s attack. All three of them need to be at their best if the Villans are to come out on top this week.
Ross Barkley and Emi Buendia will have to settle for a spot on the bench as they wait for their chance to influence the game in the second 45 minutes if needed.
Ollie Watkins will lead the charge for the West Midlands club in the final third. He has to figure out a way to be a constant menace up top.
Tammy Abraham will be available for selection on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the final quarter of the game if the Villans are in need of a goal by then.
