Federico Dimarco has touched on several personal and Inter-related topics in an interview on the BSMT podcast. He was quizzed about his role models.

“There are a few active players I esteem. I know I’ll be insulted, but I admire Theo Hernandez. Instead, Roberto Carlos and Maxwell were my idols growing up. I like to steal something from others but don’t like to compare myself to anybody.”

Dimarco took stock of his journey at Inter.

“I’ve gone through beautiful and tough moments. When we lose a game, a title, or the Champions League final, I’m completely down in the dumps. It takes me a couple of days to recover. You have to be quicker when you play frequently, fortunately we didn’t do that a lot last season. Then, when I analyze things, I try to restart and set a goal. After the defeat against Manchester City and the time with the national team, the only possible objective was to win the Scudetto.”

Dimarco indicated what games he felt the most.

“Just the Derby with Milan. It’s the match that hypes me up the most and gives me extra juice. It’s unlike any other game for both sides.”

Dimarco revisited the Champions League final.

“I was very disappointed, but the next day I set my sights on the Scudetto and told myself we went that far when nobody expected it, defeating quality teams. Everybody thought we would be blown away and that it would have been tragic, but we measured up with Manchester City, which proved a lot. We have a strong group, and the single players fare better when that’s the case. It was still a unique achievement.”
