Diogo Leite ‘to join’ Lazio in cut-price winter deal

Diogo Leite is close to a winter move to Lazio, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.

Lazio are reportedly ready to pay close to €2.5 million for the left-footed centre-half.

Leite, 27, is in the final months of his Union Berlin contract, which runs to the end of the season, keeping the fee low.

He has returned as a regular this campaign, yet both player and club have ruled out an extension.

With Danilho Doekhi also set to depart, the Köpenick side are seeking defensive cover.
