Multiple outlets are reporting that Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen have a full agreement in place to sign left-back Miguel Gutierrez on a permanent transfer from Napoli, just one year after the Spaniard joined the Partenopei from Girona.

Gutierrez all set to join Bayer Leverkusen from Napoli

According to reports from Gianluca Di Marzio, Fabrizio Romano and various others, Napoli have agreed to sell Gutierrez to Bayer Leverkusen for a fee of €30m with bonuses included.

This counts as a capital gain for Napoli, who spent a fee of €18m plus up to €2m in bonuses to sign Gutierrez from Girona last summer. Gutierrez went on to make 36 appearances for Napoli across all competitions in 2025-26, including 28 in Serie A.

He is expected to be the like-for-like replacement at Bayer Leverkusen for Alejandro Grimaldo, who left the German side after three years to join Atletico Madrid earlier this summer.

Gutierrez is expected to have a medical with Bayer Leverkusen in the early stages of next week, likely on Monday or Tuesday.
