Dorival Júnior says Corinthians still need three or four more signings to deepen the squad, speaking after Sunday’s defeat to Palmeiras.

According to Meu Timao, he has relayed that demand to president Osmar Stabile and is in daily talks with football executive Marcelo Paz, though he declined to specify positions out of respect for his current players.

The window remains open until March and four arrivals are confirmed so far, centre-back Gabriel Paulista, full-back Pedro Milans, midfielder Matheus Pereira and forward Kaio César.

The club are working on a deal for Moroccan midfielder Zakaria Labyad, who watched the Dérbi from Memphis Depay’s box, and are in advanced talks over the return of Argentine full-back Fabrizio Angileri after his contract expired at the end of 2025.

Dorival welcomed Angileri back but said Labyad was not a request from him. He added that he knows little about the player beyond information passed on by Memphis and stressed he will aim to maximise any signing who arrives.

Corinthians also have an agreement lined up for goalkeeper João Ricardo of Fortaleza and have resumed negotiations with Flamengo over a loan for 28-year-old midfielder Allan.
