Dortmund announce jersey number and name for Kauã Prates | OneFootball

Borussia Dortmund confirmed new signing Kauã Prates will wear the number 36 at the club. BVB also communicated he’ll use “K. Prates” on his jersey, which is now available in the online fanshop.

The 17-year-old left-back also wore the same number during his time at Cruzeiro. The current Brazil U20 international played his first games in Brazil Serie A and Copa Sudamericana at the age of 16.

The Brazilian is currently in rehabilitation training following a thigh injury. His contract at Dortmund will start when he turns 18 next month. Kauã Prates was a key player when Brazil won the U17 South American Championship in 2025. 

He has played 18 times for Cruzeiro’s first-team since making his debut at the age of 16 years 08 months. The number 36 was recently worn by Ansgar Knauff and Tom Rothe at Dortmund.
