Borussia Dortmund received timely boost before next week’s Bundesliga clash with Bayern Munich as the club confirmed that Serhou Guirassy will be available for selection.

The Guinean forward'd recently left his national team camp before their final world cup qualifier against Botswana citing fatigue & minor physical exhaustion.

Earlier this season Guirassy'd been sidelined with slight hamstring problem prompting fresh worries among fans about his fitness.

Dortmund confirms no injury concerns

A Dortmund spokesperson reassured supporters that there's "no cause for alarm" confirming that Guirassy remains in good condition. The club emphasized that his early return from international duty was precautionary measure rather than sign of injury.

Guirassy's currently completing short rest period before resuming full training on Tuesday ensuring he'll be ready for Saturday’s much anticipated German Clasico.

According to Sky Sport’s Patrick Berger, the decision for Guirassy to leave Guinea’s camp was mutually agreed upon by both national & club medical staff.

With Guinea already eliminated from the 2026 World cup qualifying race, the federation allowed him to return to Germany early to avoid unnecessary risk.

Guirassy's been in fine form this season scoring 5 goal & providing 3 assist in just 8 appearance across all competition.
