Khadija 'Bunny' Shaw admits the past few weeks have been 'crazy', but it's had the perfect ending.
The Jamaican put City ahead at Wembley in the FA Cup final, with the Blues going on to win 4-0 against Brighton & Hove Albion.
Victory over the Seagulls sealed a league and cup double for the first time in our history, in a week where Shaw also announced her four-year contract extension in style at Co-op Live.
There’d been plenty of speculation about the three-time WSL Golden Boot winner’s future before then, but Shaw let her football do the talking in a special 2025/26 campaign.
Speaking to TNT Sports, she said: “It’s been a crazy few weeks with a lot of emotions, from not knowing where I would be to signing a contract and now being here, winning the FA Cup.
“The last time I was here I actually lost, so I wanted to correct that today, and we actually did it.”

Shaw’s Wembley strike summed up everything she’s become known for - beating Chiamaka Nnadozie to an aerial ball to power home a header at the far post.
It was her fifth FA Cup goal of the season - level with Sam Kerr at the top of the scoring charts for WSL sides - and her 27th in all competitions.
“As the ball was coming across, she shouted ‘keeper’s’ very early, so I just thought I’m going to go for it, try not to make contact with her,” Shaw said of her goal.
“So I just focused on the ball, and then whatever happens, happens and then I turned around and saw the ball go in, so I turned around to celebrate.”
