DPD, the French parcel delivery company, has distanced itself from a PSG tifo that used its logo during Sunday’s 5-0 win over OM, saying in a statement the message was hurtful and contrary to its values.
Unveiled by Paris supporters at the Parc des Princes, the display featured “DPD” alongside the phrase “Les Marseillais c'est des livreurs”.
The use of its logo was described as an exploitation and misuse of the brand, incompatible with values of respect, inclusion and responsibility upheld by its teams daily.
The company, owned by La Poste group, specialises in parcel transport and delivery.
DPD will defer to the Ligue de Football Professionnel’s disciplinary commission and will abide by that body’s work and conclusions.
