Dreesen on Diaz to Al-Hilal: 'We would be stupid if we sold Diaz, wouldn't we?'

Bayern Munich chief executive Jan-Christian Dreesen has played down talk of Luis Diaz joining Al-Hilal, casting doubt on any notion of a sale.

"We would be stupid if we sold Diaz, wouldn't we?" Dreesen told Kicker.

L'Equipe reports that Al-Hilal will table an opening offer of at least €70 million to tempt Bayern into talks over Diaz. The report described the Saudi market as resurgent and intent on high-profile signings.

Al-Hilal are not hanging about this window. After completing the signing of Crysencio Summerville, Simone Inzaghi's side are pursuing another statement addition.
