Fortuna Düsseldorf have added forward Lukas Eixler on a free from FSV Zwickau, while Hannover 96 have recruited Swiss keeper Pascal Loretz from FC Luzern.
According to BuLi News, Eixler has signed until 30 June 2028 and will wear number 11. Loretz has agreed a four-year deal running to 30 June 2030.
The 22-year-old made 71 appearances and scored 16 goals for Zwickau across the past two seasons. Sporting director Sami Arabi said Eixler brings physical presence, is comfortable with both feet and broadens their attacking options, adding he fits the club’s profile and they are delighted to secure him.
Loretz arrives from Swiss first division side Luzern. He has already been called up several times by Switzerland, including for two World Cup qualifiers.
H96 sporting director Ralf Becker said the club had tracked Loretz for a long time but, given their circumstances, a transfer had not previously been feasible. He added that Loretz matches their goalkeeping and on-the-ball profile.
Becker noted that Loretz has already made more than 120 Bundesliga appearances in the last three years, despite only just turning 23, and has been operating at a high level. He said the keeper is in Switzerland’s extended squad and still has room to develop.
