Manchester United target Victor Osimhen has been the subject of a swap deal offer from Juventus.

Ruben Amorim’s side are desperately on the lookout for attacking options this summer and have been linked to numerous options such as Viktor Gyokeres and Ollie Watkins.

Osimhen is said to want a move to the Premier League and there have even been reports that United are his preferred destination.

The Nigerian is certainly not part of SSC Napoli boss Antonio Conte’s plan as he will be omitted from first team training when the Serie A champions return for pre-season work.

United are not the only team sniffing around Osimhen though and Juventus have also been in negotiations for the player.

Italian paper Corriere della Sera has reported that Juventus’ General Manager, Damien Comolli, has proposed a swap deal between Dusan Vlahovic and Osimhen.

The Serbian striker has so far rejected the chance to sign a new deal and is seemingly content to run down his contract and leave on a free next season.

It is stated in the report that, “Comolli has Napoli-owned striker Victor Osimhen at the top of his wish list: Juventus is reportedly trying to convince Gli Azzurri to start a negotiation that could bring the Nigerian to Turin.”

The outlet adds that, “among the hypotheses on the table” there was a swap deal with Vlahovic, but the plan “did not have a long life” for one vital reason.

The paper claims that Vlahovic “got in the way by immediately rejecting the Neapolitans.”

Therefore, if Juventus and Napoli are to find a solution, it will not be via a swap deal between the two strikers.

If United wish to get involved, they will likely have to act before the middle of July when Osimhen’s release clause will rise from the €75 million it is currently set at for clubs outside of Italy.
