Roma’s contract renewals are progressing well, and new sporting director Tony D’Amico is personally handling the contracts of Celik, Pellegrini, and Dybala.
The former is now close to renewing and will earn approximately €2.8 million plus bonuses, while for the other two there are still some details to be ironed out.
For Dybala, Il Messaggero reports, there is still a gap between the club’s offer and the player’s demands to be bridged.
For weeks, Roma have been offering a €2 million salary plus €60,000 for each appearance of at least 45 minutes.
Applying this formula to last season, the Argentine would have earned approximately €840,000 more thanks to his 14 appearances with playing time.
The player’s response was a counter-proposal: €3 million with a reduced variable component, or €2 million plus €60,000 per appearance with no restrictions on minutes played.
In this scenario, compared to Roma’s calculations, the overall earnings would rise to approximately €1.32 million. At this time, however, a definitive response has not yet been received from the club.
D’Amico’s appointment to the sporting department could accelerate the negotiations, although until now the negotiations have been handled directly by Ryan Friedkin with the assistance of agent Pietro Scala.
