Manchester City are on the road for the final match of the 2024/25 Premier League season as Fulham stand in the way of a place in the UEFA Champions League.
The task is simple for Pep Guardiola and his players as they require a minimum of just one point to secure themselves a place in next season’s premier club competition in Europe via a top-five finish in the Premier League.
That scenario was firmly put into place on Tuesday night as goals from Omar Marmoush, Bernardo Silva, and Nico Gonzalez ensured a 3-1 home win over Bournemouth, setting things up nicely to keep the fate of the club in their own hands going into matchweek 38.
As for Fulham, their Premier League campaign is over alongside any hopes of reaching a European qualification place, but Marco Silva’s side will no doubt want to end the campaign on a high after some strong performances from the club throughout the season.
Manchester City have just two confirmed absentees due to injury and suspension with John Stones still sidelined and Mateo Kovacic banned following his straight red card against Bournemouth in midweek.
Ahead of the confirmed team news from Craven Cottage this weekend, some initial information has began to filter throughout social media from journalists and sources regarding Manchester City’s starting line-up.
According to the information of The Telegraph’s Mike McGrath, Pep Guardiola has opted to leave out Jack Grealish entirely from his travelling squad with the nature of the absence unknown at this stage.
The first piece of line-up information has been reported courtesy of The FPL Newsletter, who reveal that Kevin De Bruyne is not part of Pep Guardiola’s starting eleven to face Fulham at Craven Cottage.
Elsewhere and FPLMaineRoad on X has also confirmed that Omar Marmoush once again makes Guardiola’s selection, as does Josko Gvardiol – who will be operating as Manchester City’s left-back.
Marco Silva and Pep Guardiola are expected to confirmed their respective Fulham and Manchester City starting line-ups around 14:45 (UK) on Sunday afternoon.
Now confirmed.
