Brentford Women made it five wins from five in the London and South East Premier Division with a 3-0 victory over Ebbsfleet United Women at the Rochester Utilities Stadium.

First-half goals from Khyri McKenzie and Paula Holguin alongside an impressive third from Maï Louvrier in the second period gave Carly Williams' side a deserved three points.

In torrential rain, the Bees began the better of the two sides and could have taken the lead early on as Alissa Down played a great through ball for Ilana Harris-Walters but the winger skewed her shot wide.

Chelsie Berry and Holguin both had half chances as they got close to threatening Teagan McAlter's goal without getting shots off on goal.

On 16 minutes, Down struck a fierce shot from distance which looked destined for the bottom corner, but McAlter scrambled to tip the ball round the post.

The home side finally gave into the pressure as on 18 minutes, the deadlock was broken through McKenzie who slipped away from her marker in the box with the ball, striking a deflected shot which flew past the goalkeeper.

The lead was doubled soon after as Holguin was in the right place to finish from close range after a Berry cross into the box.

The second period began in similar fashion and Williams' side's first foray forward created the third. A loose ball in the box landed with Louvrier, who wasted no time in rifling a left-footed shot into the net.

There were further opportunities to add to the lead as another second-half substitute, Habeebat Gbajabiamila, was causing problems for the home side. The winger's persistence allowed her to win the ball back in the Ebbsfleet United penalty area and find Holguin, whose chipped shot clipped the crossbar.

Maddie Phillips could have scored a fourth for the team as she found herself on the edge of the box following a good team move but her strike whistled just past the goalkeeper's right-hand post.

McKenzie should have got her second of the game as Gbajabiamila's pace saw her beat her opponent and find the striker in the box but her eventual shot struck the post.

Brentford are next in action on Sunday 21 September when they take on Tonbridge Angels in the second qualifying round of the Adobe Women's FA Cup.
