Roma are once again interested in Claudio Echeverri, Manchester City’s promising Argentine attacking midfielder born in 2006.

The River Plate youth talent, currently seeking opportunities in Europe, has reportedly expressed a clear preference for the Giallorossi, as reported by Calciomercato.com.

City, aiming to foster the youngster’s development through a loan spell, initially considered Girona, a club belonging to the City Group, as an ideal destination.

However, Echeverri himself is reportedly not entirely convinced by La Liga, preferring instead an opportunity in Serie A, where he could find greater visibility and a leadership position like that of Gian Piero Gasperini, considered suitable for his development as a player.

Sporting director Frédéric Massara is working to secure an agreement that includes not only a loan but also an option to buy, a condition deemed essential to strategically investing in the player for the future.
