Ederson ‘to join’ Manchester United in €45m agreement | OneFootball

According to The Athletic, Manchester United have reached full agreement with Atalanta to sign Ederson for €40.5m plus up to €4.5m in add-ons.

Atletico Madrid had agreed personal terms with the midfielder last month, but did not meet Atalanta’s valuation. Once United matched those terms and offered more, it became a one-horse race.

Talks ran for several weeks before the clubs shook hands on the details. The package sits below earlier Italian suggestions of €48-50m.

Ederson’s contract at Old Trafford will run to June 2030, with an option for a further season.

Atalanta signed the Brazilian from Salernitana for €22.9m in summer 2022. There were suggestions last summer of a €60m asking price, but with his Bergamo deal to June 2027, the cost dropped this time.
