Eintracht Frankfurt enters partnership with Accra Lions FC | OneFootball

Eintracht Frankfurt is delighted to announce a cooperation with Accra Lions FC. This partnership, which is aimed at strengthening international presence and developing talented youngsters, will come into force in June 2025.

Accra Lions, founded in 2015, finished runners-up in the Ghana Premier League, the country’s highest league, in the 2023/24 season with one of the youngest teams in professional senior football worldwide (with an average age under 20). Consistent youth development and the creation of a modern training centre have made the club well known beyond Ghana in the space of a few years.

The cooperation between Eintracht Frankfurt and Accra Lions comprises several exciting aspects, including the opportunity for Eintracht to scout talented players from West Africa and to contribute to their development by optimising training conditions and transferring knowledge. The aim is to promote Accra Lions players and open up prospects for them in international football.

Our players and coaches can benefit enormously from this collaboration – both on a sporting and personal level. We see this as a great opportunity for cultural exchange between two football-loving countries, which can go far beyond football-specific topics.”

The partnership is in line with Eintracht Frankfurt’s strategic goal of expanding its international network and promoting the development of young talent on a global scale. The club sees great opportunities in the growing importance of the African football market – both in sporting and social terms – and would like to play an active part in this shift.
