The Eagles have secured the services of 25-year-old midfielder Raphael Onyedika from Club Brugge on a contract until 2031.
Eintracht Frankfurt have completed the signing of Raphael Onyedika from Club Brugge. The Nigeria international, who has been given the number 25 shirt, has put pen to paper on a contract until 30 June 2031.
Onyedika won two league titles, the Belgian Cup and the Belgian Supercup during his time with Brugge. He also lifted the Danish Cup with FC Midtjylland in his first spell outside Belgium.
The 1.84m midfielder has made 268 senior club appearances in all competitions, including 24 UEFA Champions League outings in the past three campaigns. He has also won 26 senior caps for his country and was part of the Super Eagles squad at the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations.
Onyedika was among the most-used players in Belgian football during his four seasons with Brugge, making 40, 49, 52 and 42 appearances respectively in all competitions.
“Raphael Onyedika has not only impressed us with his physicality and strategic understanding of the game, but above all with his extraordinary consistency,” said board member for sport Markus Krösche. “He has been a regular starter in recent years and has won numerous trophies in Belgium. He also boasts valuable international experience. At 25, he still has great potential and is an important building block in terms of the structure of our squad.”
