Morocco’s World Cup campaign continues, and among the African team’s many stars, Neil El Aynaoui has been one of the most impressive.
After qualifying for the round of 32, the Moroccans faced the Netherlands, led by fellow Roma player Malen.
Despite the Dutch team’s vast experience, Ouahbi’s side triumphed, securing a place in the round of 16 where they will face Canada.
The Roma midfielder seems reborn when he plays for his national team, as was already evident in January during the last Africa Cup of Nations, won by the “Atlas Lions.”
However, with the Giallorossi, in his first year in the capital, that spark has yet to ignite, and the Giallorossi number 8 has gone through several ups and downs over the past season.
Now, however, the Roman club will have to decide what to do with him in this transfer window, because thanks to his excellent performances in the World Cup, several teams are interested in the 2001-born player.
The Premier League has already noticed him: so much so that several English teams, according to teamtalk.com, have reportedly knocked on Roma’s door to try to bring him to England.
Several clubs are interested: Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea, Aston Villa, Brighton, Bournemouth, Newcastle, and Sunderland.
All, with the help of intermediaries, have gathered information regarding the feasibility of the deal.
Now, El Aynaoui is focused solely on the present and on going as far as possible in the World Cup, but once the competition is over, both the player and the Giallorossi will have to make decisions.
