Eli Junior Kroupi etched his name into Premier League history with a goal in Bournemouth’s 1-1 draw with Manchester City, the 19-year-old setting two records in his debut season.

He struck on 38 minutes with a curling right‑foot finish that left Gianluigi Donnarumma rooted. The draw also denied the Sky Blues the title, L'Équipe notes, with Arsenal crowned champions for the first time since 2004.

Kroupi now has 13 league goals in 32 matches, the most by a teenager in his first season in the English top flight. He surpassed Robbie Fowler’s 12 in 1993-1994 and Robbie Keane’s 12 in 1999-2000.

He is also the first teenager to score against all of the teams finishing in the top three in a single campaign, netting versus Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester United.

Born and developed at Lorient, the French forward is under contract with Bournemouth until 2030. He recently turned down approaches from Portugal ahead of the 2026 World Cup, which runs from 11 June to 19 July.

Bournemouth sit sixth on 56 points and are assured of European football next season. Kroupi has been nominated for the Premier League young player of the season, with the award due in the coming days.
