Construction work has begun at Elland Road as Leeds United move to upgrade the stadium. Major works are scheduled after this season to lift capacity to 53,000.
Significant groundwork took place over the weekend and into this week. A club spokesperson said “enforcement works” are ongoing.

The plan centres on expanding the West and North Stands. Targeted alterations are also planned for the South Stand.
The development will make Elland Road a UEFA Category 4 stadium, putting it among Europe’s elite venues.
