Undoubtedly, Elliot Anderson is becoming one of the “hottest properties” in the transfer market, with every top club expected to want a piece of him.

Almost out of nowhere, Premier League fans have been treated to just how special and rare the Nottingham Forest midfielder is.

He has emerged as one of the most complete midfielders in the league: an outstanding defensive asset, winning tackles and recovering possession, while also driving Forest’s attack as a creative engine.

From impressing on his England debut with the Three Lions to producing a standout performance against Real Betis in the Europa League, top clubs must be wondering how the ex‑Newcastle man ever slipped under their radar.

Keen not to miss out on the next big thing in English football, teams have already begun registering their interest.

INEOS keen to splash cash

Manchester United have been quick to express their desire to bring him on board.

It has been revealed that INEOS are preparing a massive bid to test Forest’s resolve to keep hold of their breakout star.

There have been no promising updates from the City Ground that they are ready to cash in on Anderson, who joined from Newcastle for £35 million in the summer of 2024.

However, even if they attempt to resist, pressure is mounting. It has now emerged that United are not the only ones pressing for a deal.

Liverpool enter Anderson race

While acknowledging Forest’s stance on a potential exit, Caught Offside reports:

“It will be difficult to convince them to sell Anderson any time soon. Meanwhile, Liverpool are not the only club keen on him. They will face competition from bitter rivals Manchester United as well.”

More pressure on Forest

With pressure mounting from two of the Premier League’s heavyweights, Forest may eventually be forced to consider cashing in on a player who is fast becoming their prized possession.

If they do, the battle will come down to who can sway Anderson, United or Liverpool.

INEOS will hope that guaranteed game time and an immediate key role under Ruben Amorim could tempt the 22‑year‑old to choose Old Trafford over Anfield.

As The Peoples Person perfectly highlighted, Anderson might be the final piece of Amorim’s midfield puzzle and, crucially, a far more gettable option in the winter transfer window compared to the trickier pursuits of Adam Wharton or Carlos Baleba.
