Corinthians defeated Botafogo 3-1 on Friday night, securing a second successive Brasileirão Feminino victory and giving coach Emily Lima her first consecutive wins in more than a year.
According to Meu Timao, it is her first such sequence since October 2024. That month Peru beat Bolivia 1-0 and 2-1 in friendlies.
The current run began with a 4-0 win over América Mineiro at Neo Química Arena, where Gabi Zanotti scored twice and Erika and Andressa Alves were also on target.
Since those 2024 friendlies, Lima managed only one further victory with Peru, a 3-2 win over Cuba in early 2025. After a poor Copa América campaign, she had a spell at Levante in Spain, losing all matches. That barren stretch has ended with this sequence at Corinthians.
Seeking to extend the momentum, Corinthians host Red Bull Bragantino on Friday at 21:00 in the sixth round of the Brasileirão Feminino. The stadium is yet to be confirmed.
