Emily Lima says Duda Mineira is taking her chance at Corinthians after a sharp rise in game time. Since 20 April the 21-year-old has started five matches and played 450 minutes, already more than all her previous seasons combined at the club. "We are giving her confidence, as we do with everyone, and she is taking her opportunities."

The head coach was speaking after the 4-1 win over Mixto on Monday, in comments published by Rádio Coringão.

Between 2022 and 2025 she played 245 minutes across seven senior games. She debuted on 14 March 2022 with 11 minutes in a 1-1 draw with Atlético-MG in the Brasileirão.

She added 133 minutes in three outings in 2024 and another 101 minutes in three last year. "There is still a lot for her to develop."

Corinthians now turn to the third phase of the Copa do Brasil on Saturday, when they face Palmeiras at 11:00 at Nubank Parque, with Duda Mineira available.
