Empresário de Luiz Henrique breaks silence after meeting José Boto, Flamengo director | OneFootball

William Bento, the representative of Luiz Henrique, issued an official note after meeting Flamengo football director José Boto on Tuesday 28. He said the forward remains a Zenit (RUS) player and is focused on the Russian Championship.

The statement stressed that any negotiations in Brazil or abroad are handled solely by the player’s own staff, and that his family, including his wife, does not take part. It added that the family are settled in Russia, he has returned to training after the World Cup period and is concentrating on the start of the Russian season.

The meeting took place at the hotel where Flamengo’s delegation were based in Porto Alegre. On Wednesday 29, the Rio club drew with Internacional in the 21st round of the Brasileirão.

Bento is also the brother of defender Vitão, who plays for Flamengo. Luiz Henrique’s estimated price is about 24 million euros, roughly R$ 140 million, while the Russian club are seeking 40 to 50 million euros, R$ 240 to R$ 304 million, to release him.

Flamengo have long admired Luiz Henrique and are working within their finances as the transfer window remains open until 11 September. Thiago Almada, of Atlético de Madrid (ESP), is another target. Negotiations are complex and ongoing as supporters await developments.
