Endrick’s agent confirms Real Madrid return | OneFootball

Endrick (19) has begun life at Olympique Lyonnais in excellent form. Playing a bit-part role at Real Madrid, he made the move to France to get his career back on track and to make a push for Carlo Ancelotti’s Brazil squad, ahead of this summer’s FIFA World Cup. 

He could hardly have hoped for a better start. He already has five goals in just six games for OL, including the first hat-trick of his professional career, which came against FC Metz. Paulo Fonseca helped convince his fellow Lusophone to make the move to the Groupama Stadium, but there is no question about where the young striker’s long-term future lies.

Speaking in an interview with AS, the player’s agent, Thiago Freitas, confirmed a return to Real Madrid at the end of the current season. “The decision has been taken. He will return to Real Madrid at the end of the season, no ifs, no buts. It is a loan without a buy option, so he will go back,” said Freitas. 

And what about a new loan, perhaps even to OL, where Endrick has said that he is currently happy? “What will happen next season? It is difficult to say, but one thing is for certain: at the end of the season, Endrick will once again be a Real Madrid player,” added Freitas. 

Before the Brazilian returns to his parent club, he will hope to bring silverware to the Groupama Stadium, with Lyon still in contention in the UEFA Europa League and the Coupe de France.
