England fans have called on Sarina Wiegman to start Michelle Agyemang and Chloe Kelly in this weekend’s Women’s Euro 2025 final.

For the second game running, both players made huge impacts off the bench, to help turn things around for the Lionesses.

The Lionesses were seconds away from exiting Euro 2025 during their Euro 2025 semi-final against Italy.

That was before 19-year-old Agyemang scored a 96th-minute equaliser to take the game to extra-time.

Kelly then scored the winner in the 119th minute, just seconds before the game was set to go to penalties. The Arsenal star scored on the rebound from her own penalty kick which had been parried.

In the prior round against Sweden, Agyemang scored an 81st minute equaliser, just two minutes after Lucy Bronze had made it 2-1.

Kelly had a part to play in both goals against Sweden, and also scored from the spot during a dramatic penalty shootout.

England fans call on Agyemang and Kelly to start Euro 2025 final

England fans took to social media after the country’s 2-1 victory over Italy, to call on Arsenal pair Michelle Agyemang and Chloe Kelly to start the Euro 2025 final.

On social media platform X, Ian Chiverton wrote: “Kelly and Agyemang are game changers. Serious consideration has to be given to start them in the final. We need a goal threat.”

@Bostonian7019 commented: “If Michelle Agyemang & Chloe Kelly don’t start the #womenseuros2025 final, this coming Sunday, expect the #Lionesses to lose. The team has been uninspired, in most of their matches & it has taken Michelle & Chloe to change things. But they aren’t miracle workers.”

@Debbieeee_xo added: “Chloe Kelly and Michelle Agyemang need to start in the final. Drop Stanway and James.”

Another X user posted that Alessia Russo and Lauren James have been ‘run ragged’ at Euro 2025, and that Kelly and Agyemang should start over them.

@ClaretsBrad said: “OMG!! These lionesses are incredible! The girls never stop! All the credit goes to Agyemang and Kelly both game changers and super subs. Both should start in the final. Bring on the final and defend our title!!!”

While @WoodyUK69 credited Agyemang and Kelly for ‘saving England twice’ and said they should be brought in alongside Grace Clinton for the Euro 2025 final.

England’s progress at Women’s Euro 2025 has caught the attention of the nation, with fans suggesting there should be a bank holiday if England win the trophy.

SheKicks has launched their own petition, calling on the UK government to put in force a bank holiday the day after the Euro 2025 final, should the Lionesses win.
