England return to action tonight in their penultimate fixture of World Cup qualifying. The Three Lions host Serbia, safe in the knowledge that last month’s 5-0 rout of Latvia saw them seal their place at next summer’s tournament in North America with two games to spare. Thomas Tuchel’s side were the first European nation to book a finals spot as they maintained their 100 per cent record in Group K that reads six wins from six with 18 goals scored and none conceded.
Tuchel will be eager to avoid any complacency or drop off in intensity after back-to-back 5-0 away wins and a 3-0 home friendly victory over Wales, after which he criticised the atmosphere and faced some sarcastic chants from the travelling supporters in Riga. Nico O’Reilly makes his senior England debut this evening, with Morgan Rogers getting the nod at No10 ahead of the recalled Jude Bellingham and Marcus Rashford deputising for Anthony Gordon.
Serbia head to London with a new manager at the helm in former Reading boss Veljko Paunovic, whose team sit behind rivals Albania in the battle for a play-off spot and are without Aleksandar Mitrovic due to injury. Follow England vs Serbia live below!
