Michael Olise continues to be the focus of international transfer rumors at FC Bayern. Now an English report has brought an unusual idea into play: Liverpool FC is said to be considering a possible swap model with the Munich club.
According to TeamTalk, the Reds are examining a possible scenario in which Cody Gakpo could be involved in a transfer. The Liverpool FC attacker is said to be part of a deal to reduce the transfer fee for Bayern winger Michael Olise.
The background to this is the English club’s search for a possible successor to Mohamed Salah. The Egyptian attacking star could leave the club next summer, which is why those responsible at Anfield Road are already looking closely at potential solutions for the right side of the attack.

From Munich’s point of view, however, such a deal currently seems extremely unlikely. The French international plays a central role in FC Bayern’s plans for the coming years. Since moving to Munich, Olise has quickly developed into an important part of the attack.
Several reports in recent weeks indicate that the attacking player is considered unsellable internally and that a sale is currently out of the question.
There have also been no indications of a possible departure from the player’s side, so a transfer next summer hardly seems realistic at the moment.
In addition, the second part of the discussed model only fits the current situation to a limited extent. Cody Gakpo was occasionally linked with FC Bayern last year, but there are no concrete plans for a move to Munich next summer.
The Dutchman himself confirmed previous contacts from Munich and explained: „As far as I know, they did come, but ended up buying Luis Díaz.“
Gakpo subsequently extended his contract with Liverpool FC until 2030, making a potential move to Munich a distant prospect anyway.
