Chelsea’s Estevao Willian has now reached a Brazilian milestone that only footballing legend Pele has reached before.

Estevao is constantly being compared with legendary names in football such as Lionel Messi, Neymar, and others. But now he is being mentioned in the same name as one of the best ever strikers to represent Brazil, Pele.

To say that is a compliment is an understatement. But Estevao is out there and he is well and truly announcing himself on the scene of world football since moving to Chelsea in the summer. He is the talk of the town and the name on everyone’s lips right now.

I think I’ve probably written about two articles on Estevao every day since this international break started last week, a testament to him being the man of the moment in football.

And last night, he only went and scored another goal for Brazil as he caps off a superb international break.

Estevao scores!

The Chelsea winger scored a penalty in the first half for Brazil in a 1-1 draw against Tunisia in an international friendly last night.

He also hit the post right at the end of the game, coming very close to winning it for Brazil.

But that goal marked his 5th senior goal for Brazil, and he’s now only second to Pele in reaching that milestone.

As relayed by Chelsea Stats, Estevão [18 years and 7 months] is the 2nd youngest player to reach the milestone of 5 goals for the Brazilian national team! Only Pelé did it at younger age (17 years and 7 months) in 1958.
