Ethan Williams

The winger was on loan at Cheltenham Town last season and scored a goal for the senior United side on the pre-season tour of the United States against AFC Bournemouth in July.

He joined Falkirk last month and enjoyed his best performance to date last night.

Starting on the right wing, he almost scored his first goal for the club but his chance from close range was blocked by the onrushing Hibs’ keeper.

His evening took a negative turn when VAR awarded a penalty against him when the ball struck his hand from close range. Martin Boyle made no mistake and gave Hibernian the lead from the spot.

Williams made up for his error on the stroke of half-time when he raced down the wing and produced a wonderful ball across goal that was finished off by Ross MacIver.

The United youngster grabbed his second assist of the night when his pinpoint corner was headed home by Liam Henderson to make the score 2-2.

He made three key passes and completed three of his eight cross attempts, including two which produced goals.

Williams had two shots on goal and also completed one of his two dribble attempts.

The 19-year-old won his only aerial duel and also came out on top in three of his six ground battles in an impressive showing.

Habeeb Ogunneye

It was a difficult night for Ogunneye who played for Newport County in their 1-2 loss to Arsenal under-21s in the Football League Trophy.

He played 59 minutes, making two clearances and one interception in the match.

Unfortunately, he gave away a penalty in the game and did not win any of his four ground duels.

Ogunneye was good on the ball though, completing 92% of his passes.
