On Monday 10th and Tuesday 11th November, nearly 50 European clubs gathered at AS Monaco's Performance Centre for the European Football Medical & Performance Advisory. The event brought together around sixty professionals: performance directors, doctors, psychologists and physiotherapists.

At the start of this international break, AS Monaco hosted a seminar at the Performance Centre for European Football Clubs (formerly  ECA).

Over these two days, through conferences and networking sessions, participants exchanged ideas on topics related to the management and coordination of performance units.

Discussions focused on leadership and the creation of a high-performance culture, team management, and the optimization of medical and athletic performance indicators. Workshops also provided an opportunity to explore how to leverage the collective and individual potential of team members.

The event also allowed representatives from some of the most prestigious clubs, such as Benfica Lisbon, Manchester United, Juventus, Arsenal, Atlético de Madrid, and Manchester City, to visit the facilities of AS Monaco’s Performance Centre.

Simon Timson, Manchester City’s Director of Performance, shared his enthusiasm: “It’s fantastic to be here in Monaco for the European Football Club Medical & Performance United Summit. The club has an exceptional environment, with incredible training facilities,” before adding, “It’s a great opportunity for professionals from all over Europe to come together and share their expertise and experiences.”

Alongside Yann Le Meur, AS Monaco’s Director of Performance, and Manchester City’s Simon Timson, were, for example, Darren Burgess (Juventus) and Phil Radley (Nordsjaelland).

“We are delighted to welcome the EFC,” added Thiago Scuro, CEO of AS Monaco. “This is an opportunity to showcase our club and facilities, but also and especially to exchange ideas with European specialists and experts on different practices and working methodologies. These are always enjoyable and informative moments for everyone.”
