Currently, Barcelona are desperate to get back to the 1:1 rule financially, and to do so they need to finalise the list of names that will have to leave the club first before the summer window closes so that they can sign the names they want to sign.

The German goalkeeper was told earlier this week by Hans Flick that he will not be relied upon next season as Barcelona's main goalkeeper, as he has been for more than five consecutive seasons.

A Mutually Beneficial Departure

The German goalkeeper's salary is one of the highest in Barcelona at the moment, so his departure will allow the club to sign some players who have already been signed such as Juan Garcia, in addition to other deals that will arrive in the coming days.

Ter Stegen's departure will also give him the opportunity to return to football, although competition for the goalkeeping position will also be fierce at Barcelona following the renewal of Polish goalkeeper Szczesny as well.

Although he has been told that he will not be relied upon next season, the player is determined to stay at Barcelona for as long as possible until the end of his contract in 2028, which puts Barcelona in a dilemma.

Turkish and Italian interest in his services

The experienced goalkeeper is attracting huge interest from several European clubs who want to sign him, the first of which was Italian giants Inter Milan who enquired about his situation with Barcelona, the second club that wanted to acquire the services of the player was Turkish giants Galatasaray who seemed ready to make the best financial offer for the player.

For his part, Tirschtegen wants to get consistent playing time after returning from the knee injury that ended his last season with Barcelona before it started, as he will be relied upon heavily at the upcoming World Cup, according to reports.
