Everton have joined Sunderland and Leeds United in the race to sign Leicester City winger Abdul Fatawu. According to Sunderland Echo, the £20m-rated 22-year-old is drawing interest after the club’s relegation.
Fatawu was among Leicester’s brighter performers in a difficult campaign, building on the form that helped win promotion in 2023-24. In the Championship he produced nine goals and seven assists and ranked highly for dribbles, chances created and touches in the opposition box.
His direct running, pace and ball-carrying have put him on shortlists for sides seeking width and creativity. Everton want to strengthen their attack ahead of next season and see him as a possible addition, with Sunderland and Leeds also tracking the winger.
There is a growing expectation that he could move on this summer. A recent Instagram message thanked supporters and expressed disappointment with the season, which some have taken as a hint of an impending exit.
He did not set out his intentions, but the tone of the post has added to speculation that he does not view his long-term future at King Power Stadium in the wake of relegation.
