Everton have had a roller-coaster ride over the last few seasons. Once a top-half side in the Premier League, they have now struggled in the bottom half of the points table and, on several occasions, have barely avoided relegation. With the return of David Moyes, the club are once again looking for a new direction to change their fortunes. The team are aware that success will be difficult without improving their goal-scoring ability. That is why the Merseyside club have been eyeing attacking players in the ongoing summer transfer window
Everton have already made a number of high-profile moves this summer. Jack Grealish is almost certain to arrive on loan from Manchester City with a hefty purchase option. They have reportedly made two offers for Southampton youngster Tyler Dibling, but no deal has been reached yet. The club are clearly on a mission to strengthen their attacking department, and their list of targets is growing with some new names on the way.

Meanwhile, according to Spanish media MARCA, Everton are interested in signing FC Midtjylland forward Franculino Dju. The 21-year-old African striker caught everyone’s attention by contributing 16 goals last season. Dju, who came out of the SL Benfica academy, has proven with his performances in Denmark that he can challenge any defence. Midtjylland is demanding at least €20 million for the player, and many clubs in Europe are in the race with Everton.
Dju’s profile matches Everton’s current needs. He is fast, calm in front of the goal and constantly creates chances for the team. In such a situation, €20 million would not be considered a bad price by Premier League standards. The same report suggests that Everton are serious about pursuing this deal, and talks could intensify in the coming days.
We think signing Dju could be the right move for Everton. David Moyes is a manager who values hardworking and hungry players, and Dju’s qualities will suit his tactics. His young age, pace and goal-scoring ability could make him an asset to the team in the long term.
There’s a risk, though. Not everyone who performs well in Denmark can perform at the same level in England. The physical pressure and fast-paced matches can tire out new players. Still, if the price is reasonable and Moyes provides him with the right environment, this deal could inject new life into Everton’s attack. It could be the investment that helps the team get back into the top half.
