How much could the Ewood Park club's attacking options be earning

There were plenty of changes for Blackburn Rovers in the striker department during the summer transfer window.

Sam Gallagher and Semir Telalovic both departed the club, completing permanent moves to Stoke City and SSV Ulm respectively.

Meanwhile, Jack Vale also headed back out on loan to Scottish Premiership side Motherwell for the second time.

In the opposite direction, Yuki Ohashi, Makhtar Gueye and Andi Weimann were all added to the first-team squad at Ewood Park.

All three of those new signings have already made a positive impact for Blackburn, both with their goals and their performances.

But just how much are the club's current crop of strikers being paid at this moment in time?

Here, we've taken a look at the estimated weekly wage of all of Rovers' current senior strikers, according to Capology, in order to help find out.

Another striker to move to Ewood Park back in the summer was Andi Weimann, who arrived on a free transfer.

That came after the Austrian had spent the last six years on the books of Bristol City, albeit with the second-half of last season seeing him on loan at West Brom.

Weimann has also showed his Championship experience and eye for goal on several occasions this season, finding the net three times for Blackburn.

Of course, that most notably includes his stunning strike in the 1-1 draw at local rivals Burnley in late October.

Perhaps given the value of his know-how at this level, Weimann is said to be the highest earner among the club's current set of strikers, earning £17,500 per week.

The 33-year-old signed a one-year deal with Blackburn in the summer, meaning he could be set to earn around £910,000 from this move to Ewood Park.

Having joined from Sanfrecce Hiroshima in his native Japan earlier this summer, Yuki Ohashi has also immediately become a big hit in Lancashire.

The 28-year-old is the club's top scorer at the time of writing, with five goals already across all competitions this season.

He, too, appears to have settled in well to life as a Blackburn player in general, with the early signs suggesting that the recruitment team have unearthed a gem here.

Given the need for others to step up in the goalscoring department, those at Ewood Park will hope that continues to be the case for some time to come yet.

It is thought that Ohashi currently earns £15,000 per week at Blackburn, which equates to £780,000 per year.

He, too, signed a three-year contract in the summer, meaning he stands to earn around £2.34million from his first deal with the club.

3 Makhtar Gueye - £10,000-per-week

Rovers' first signing of the summer was Makhtar Gueye, who joined on a permanent deal from Belgian side RWD Molenbeek.

Having made that move, the Senegalese forward has so far scored twice for John Eustace's side, with both of those goals coming in the Carabao Cup.

The 26-year-old has also made himself a popular figure among the fanbase for his somewhat chaotic performances which have caused problems for opposition defences.

His personality, which has seen him immediately take the club to heart, have also helped his standing in the eyes of supporters.

According to these figures, Gueye is currently earning £10,000 per week at Blackburn, which works out at £520,000 per year.

4 Harry Leonard - £4,000-per-week

One Blackburn striker who has endured a frustrating start to the campaign is Harry Leonard, who is yet to make an appearance for the club.

The 21-year-old has been absent due to injury, but is closing in on a return to action, having been the one senior forward to remain at Ewood Park over the summer.

After coming through the academy ranks with Rovers, Leonard has started to become a feature in the first-team squad in the last two season.

He also scored his first goals in senior football last season, when he found the net on four occasions for the club, before his campaign was cut short by those fitness issues in early 2024.

As the youngest and least experienced of this current set of strikers, it is perhaps no surprise that he is currently on the lowest weekly wage, estimated to be £4,000 per week.

That works out at £208,000 per year, and with around three years remaining on his contract at Blackburn, he could still make around £624,000 from his current deal.
