Every single Chelsea fan will disagree with post-match comments made by centre back Wesley Fofana, I am very sur of that.
I don’t like to speak for all Chelsea fans usually, as it’s a game of opinions. But in this instance, I’d be absolutely shocked if anyone agrees with one comment made by Fofana in the aftermath of our 2-2 draw with Bournemouth last night.
There were boos and jeers from a pretty big section of Chelsea supporters at full time and after being at Stamford Bridge myself on Saturday in our 2-1 defeat to Aston Villa, I can confirm that this was the second game in a row where you could hear boos at full time. It’s really not good.
There was even worse news too as Moises Caicedo got booked and will now miss the game against Manchester City at the weekend. Playing them will be tough enough already, especially without our best current performing player.

Fofana said after the game:
“It was a tough game, a difficult game. We tried to give everything but when you concede two goals in that manner, it makes things complicated at this level.
“We just didn’t see the game out in the second half, we were making chances but didn’t score so it was difficult. But we played well tonight, we were solid even though we conceded two goals. We need to continue like this and I hope the future is good.”
I’m sorry, did he really just say that we played well with a straight face? There was moments in the second half where we at least had more control on the game. But the first have was shambolic chaos and we were terrible. So overall, no, we did NOT play well, not even close.
