Inter Milan midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu has been back from injury since the start of February.

The Turk had made his return in the derby against his former side AC Milan. This followed nearly a month out with a thigh problem and then a calf strain.

Throughout this month, though, Hakan Calhanoglu has not quite looked his usual self.

The 31-year-old is an absolutely pivotal player for Inter at the base of midfield.

However, Calhanoglu’s performances in matches against the likes of Milan, Fiorentina, and Juventus have not reached their normal standard.

The Turkish international has given the ball away too many times. And at times, he has looked a bit off the pace of matches.

This was perhaps the consequence of pushing too hard to return to action at the start of this month.

Hakan Calhanoglu was lacking some fitness in recent appearances.

But it was those matches that the 31-year-old needed to get into his legs to start to find his rhythm.

And the Corriere report that signs from training point to Calhanoglu having reached not just full fitness but also match-sharpness ahead of tomorrow’s top-of-the-table clash with Napoli.
