Hakan Calhanoglu trained individually today while Italy star Federico Dimarco will undergo medical tests tomorrow to determine his fitness, after the 1-1 draw with Napoli.

This according to Italian outlet FCInterNews. They report that there is little worry about the condition of Calhanoglu despite him having suffered a knock.

Inter Milan took on Napoli in Serie A yesterday.

And there were a couple of injury casualties for the Nerazzurri during the top-of-the-table clash at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.

First of all, Inter midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu took a blow to the thigh. This occurred during a hard tackle from Napoli midfielder Scott McTominay.

McTominay’s knee hit the thigh of Calhanoglu. And it caused enough of a bruise that the Turkish international had to eventually come off rather than playing through the pain.

According to FCIN, Calhanoglu has been training individually in today’s session.

The 31-year-old former AC Milan midfielder is still feeling the effects of the blow to his thigh. Therefore, he has not yet returned to full training with the rest of the group.

However, there is no worry about Calhanoglu’s condition. The Turk has not suffered a muscle injury, so he should not be out for long.

Meanwhile, Federico Dimarco suffered a thigh flexor problem.

This forced the Italian international off at halftime of yesterday’s match.

That is a particular worry since it left Inter with just one senior wingback available, Denzel Dumfries. Matteo Darmian, Carlos Augusto, and Nicola Zalewski are all out as well.

It is not yet certain how serious the problem is for Dimarco, or how long he’ll be out.
